I'd say pretty hardy. The moment I got this one, she tunneled through a layer of moss and to the bottom of her enclosure in about two hours. Never had any issues with this one. I had a sling/juvenile that passed in it's burrow a few years ago but I was killing myself at work at the time. Not that she didn't have food and water, but I wasn't obsessing over the burrow/turret
