Hierodula Membranacea

Hierodula Membranacea

So I have this Hierodula Membranacea she lives on a plant in my kitchen. Came down this morning and found her on a helium balloon in my living room. She's never went this far before and she looks freshly moulted.
Just thought I'd share
So this is just a free roaming Asian mantis in your home!? the answer to the public’s question when hearing we keep insects/spiders, “so do they just free roam in your house!?” 🤣

Yes that is correct, the kitchen door is usually closed and it never really leaves the plant it's on I have 3 plants together and it stays on the centre one. I also don't have any other animals in the house (unless you count kids) lol. I had read a few instances of people keeping them free roam, thought I'd give it a go. I only let her out around 3 moults ago, around 2 inches and been a paranoid wreck since, but it has all been plain sailing so far. She did infact moult last night too so surely going to mature next moult. Going to be fun as the misses doesn't know they can fly when there mature lol.
