I think it's a male, actually... At 2.5" DLS you would expect to see significantly more development of the spermathecae and uterus externus - like this one of a similar size:

I feel your pain. I currently have 2 Brachy's (boehmei and klaasi). The boehmei is male and will likely hook out next molt. The klaasi is little and had literally been in premolt for 7 months. I was holding out hope that it would be a female, but it molted last week and it sure looks like a male to me. That means I've officially never had a female Brachypelma - unless you still count my T. albo female as a B. albo...

Whhhaaaaa ??? idk why but I always imagined because you keep such rare sp that you'd have every Brachypelma, Tliltocatl, Grammostola, just every common t sitting there , seems wrong you don't have a brachy female....your gunna tell me you have no geniculata next
