The patterns always remind me a lot of the giant house spiders we get here in the UK, super interesting little tarantulas.

So I'm not the only one! I tend to jokingly refer to my H. gabonensis as a tiny Eratigena that came from Africa

Similar pattern and behavior when hunting.
