Lepidothelphusa padawan stack photo!

Really stunned how cool these guys are! Very social too!
Look at his little eyes that's so cool ! I am desperate to get crabs but I have long term health issues n am frightened if I was ill for a week they wouldn't survive. I was told they are extremely delicate so I just haven't bothered but warms my heart to see your little ones, so stinking cute!

I have found them fairly hardy, but they can be a bit sensitive to temps. But these tanks stay pretty warm due to the growing lights. They definitely can do well for a week, I have found they are quite low maintenance really. This species seems much more group toleratant, where Geosesarma groups like to be well fed so they dont start ripping eachothers legs off ahha.

I have been down a rabbit hole today checking out the care 😆 I always assumed because they had a water part they would be higher maintenance but they look to be not as complicated as I thought kinda like communal water t's 😊.
I don't know if you know the channel but indoor Ecosystem on utube has uploads on these little dudes. I have been happily working my way through his crabby care play list today. Its a good watch if your looking for some crabby goodness although idk how accurate he is as new to crabs n don't even own one lol . But my research has started, I have been looking for an animal that I could keep in a moss heavy viv and I may have just found what I was looking for 😊

Cool!!

i have a website I’ve been writing up for these fresh water semi terrestrial crabs. That might help you. I really gotta get back in and update some things. And start writing about these Lepidothelphusa. But perhaps my site might help fill in some gaps for you.

Getting that genus started will actually be a good goal for today after I see my therapist!
