With regalis, look for a shiny slit at the forward edge of the white band on the abdomen - that's the opening of the uterus externus on a female. If you can see that, it's a pretty good indicator of female regardless of the species. Also, with regalis the white band across the ventral side of the abdomen has more defined edges and is lighter than what you usually see in males - like what you see here.
