took a risk with a bad rep seller and bought a jumping spider but got this insted and i dont know what it is, any guesses?
Looks like one of the baboon species from South Africa, maybe Harpactira chrysogaster? You likely won't be able to tell for sure until it gets larger. It's definitely not a jumping spider, though...LOL.

Wow, have you tried asking the seller ? Although if they are that bad they may not know either. My SO got a pamphobeteus instead of a rasti once but an ow instead of a jumper that's ridiculous. Hopefully you already keep ow and it isn't a problem 🤞.... wonder if someone opend their ow n got a jumper 😆 sorry I shouldn't make jks but it amazes me how daft ppl can be, how could you accidentally pack an ow instead of a phid .... definitely needs glasses. Have visions of the seller looking at pots n going it's spider shaped that will do.

Update:
This seller is known for not answering messages sadly, it was a gamble on my end to try to get a Hyllus giganteus.
I also orderd 2 mantisis of different specis and one of the containers containd 2 but one was dead

The sling have done some webbing already but no digging yet

Here are the current specis he is selling

Acanthoscurria geniculata
Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens
Brachypelma smithi ( Red knee spider )
Brachypelma emilia
Lasidora parachybana
Nhandu chromatus
Monocentropus balfouri
Brachypelma boehmei
Chilobrachys blue Vietnam
Caribena versicolor
Psalmopoeus irminia
Avicularia metallica

I only see one ow on that list so by powers of deduction I assume that one if NMTs says its ow it must be that one. But just incase try giving it an around viv one with webbing hight and sub depth keep it half dry half with moisture and see what the sling does 🤷‍♀️

Glad it won't be a problem bad enough happening to someone with experience but couldn't imagine if it was someone new to the hobby. Sellers like that shouldn't be allowed to sell, that could of ended very differently , very glad it didn't though and that little t will get a good home with the right person.

It doesn't look like anything on that list to me. Will be interesting to see how it looks after some growing. Good luck with it!

I'm on the edge of my seat here
Yes, I'd be interested to get an update on this one. Looking at it again, it seems likely that it's one of the DCF varieties of Pterinochilus murinus.
