She is a boxer.....my second one. I can't believe how much I love this breed.
Maybe its cause I live in Wisconsin and the animals get conditioned to it, but neither of my boxers have(had) a problem in cold. We go out for walks in winter any time its over 5...and I am not talking around the block, we do several miles through woods on trails, usually with other dogs.....its so rare for her to act cold....but when she is in the boat, not moving around, and in the wind, she gets cold....especially if I am having a slow day...she gets bored when I am not catching them fast enough.
That makes sense. I'm on my third one, have had one male, one female, and my current one is a male. We have warm/hot weather most of the year, but it gets cold - it snowed yesterday. Mine have gotten spoiled with the warm weather because they've flat out refused to go outside when it's cold sometimes. My girl (Dixie) was a princess and couldn't go to sleep until she had her PJ's on each night, especially in winter...
I know I'm biased, but boxers are the best dog breed ever! Thanks for sharing about yours.
That's Wisconsin for you.....water everywhere. Minnesots brags that they are the land of 10,000 lakes, and the place is full if lakes to be sure, but Wisconsin has over 18,000.....doesnt matter where you live in this state, water is never very far away. Just near the Milwaukee metropolitan area (within a 45 min drive) there are probably over 100 lakes and rivers peppered about.
