P. rufilata M or F?
I have another P. rufilata, but I'm starting to think I'm cursed and that this too is a male. Tell me I'm wrong lol
I think you better go buy a mega millions ticket - your luck is changing! This is a female.

Man I just cant figure this out man. I posted this same rufilata when it was 1 inch smaller and was told it is a male but I figured I'd let it grow a bit, at the time it was only 2.5" or so. I just cannot tell anymore what is what, I've looked at pokie sexing for DAYS, and can't figure it out they all look the same to me. I guess now I have two female rufilata then lol. Yay, that's good news but man, I just can't figure it out.

It's tricky sometimes, especially with Pokies because the epiandrous fusillae are often not as obvious as they are in other species. Even harder when they're very small. This one clearly has a building top lip and no patch of EF that I can see, so it looks female. All vent sexing should be confirmed by molt, though, as you are aware.

I guess I'll never know lol. I've tried molts with pokies and ventral sexing. What looks like flaps could be folded tissue from what I've seen. Even molts with these guys I haven't been 100% certain. I think I give up sexing arboreals. Terrestrial NW are a piece of cake for me but for some reason pokies I just can't do, and everyone always says "ventral sexing pokies are so easy" lol
