Yea, i would never expect to make money with them, i am just helping a friend keep that specific line going and as my first experience with breeding i certainly learned a lot so far.
They are probably still stacked in 3 layers in that picture, and the box is 20x20cm
The last count I saw on here was a bit over 1,000. I'd like to know as well. Animals that produce large numbers of progeny tend to be shorter lived across the animal kingdom- wonder if these are shorter lived in the wild than we estimate.
If you get a digital scale that can accurately weigh milligrams (or whatever the small increment is that it registers), then weigh 10 or 20 of them, you can then weigh the whole bunch and get an idea of approximately how many there are. If 10 of them weigh 1mg, and the whole batch weighs 100mg, then you know you've got near 1000 of them there... (I think that math is correct - it's been a long week, though)
