Are you sure that's the inside of the molt? If yes then it's male, but I almost think that's the outside.

Tried flipping it inside out but it tore badly. How do people even managed that?

Yeah, those little molts are so fragile. I usually try to cut out a little section that would contain the spermathecae, then manipulate only that piece. If you try with the rest of it attached the weight is often too much (as you've discovered). I think there's a chance this one is female, but you'll have another molt soon to look at.
