Different from the other one I just posted. This was traded as an A. avic "Peru purple". There's almost no red on this whatsoever, but also not really any light tips to the setae. It's the darkest Avic I've seen, and it's almost solid black and blue. But it might be in premolt, so that's a factor
Setae structure is much more consistent and reiable for identification. This has the characteristics of the common Avicularia avicularia M#1... Premolt coloration is likely, if not full grown. The abdominal gaurd setae of females typically will darken as they age too. The sub - young adult specimens have much more vibrant red setae post molt. The elderly however, often appear much more brownish or lacking color completely post molt, comparable to the mature males abdominal coloration. :pompous:
