Monocentropus balfouri female - post molt

More than 12 hours post molt,a beautiful 3 inch female M.balfouri.
So gorgeous. These ts blow my mind. That blue and cream coloration makes us amazing. I got a little 1 inch sling that I’m so exited for. Cheers 😁

As i like to say - this tarantula is latte & mint!
The contrast gets better and better with each molt. Those legs get a hint of purple under a nice light! One of the best looking species! (My personal favorite looker,i know i am not alone with this opinion). I bought this gal as a single 1.5-2 inch sling/juvenile,and i was lucky to get a female. Though males look absolutely gorgeous as well!

Mine been in its burrow for a month now. Did yours show color at 2 inch
Kinda,at first, yes. The carapace was mostly white/brown,however the legs showed a slight hint of blue under a good light. As it approached the molt, every hint of blue was lost and all that was left were dark brown legs. But with the molt to 2.5 inches, the blue legs re-appeared and the carapace has gotten a nice hint of blue. Though i believe that if your T is vividly blue at this size, it's most likely a male.
However an interesting this i've noticed with my specimen is that you can tell it's approaching a molt when the legs from the patella-downwards appear almost black, showing great contrast, and only after that comes the darkening of the abdomen.
