im struggling to id my MM subfusca as a lowland or highland,
Any help will be apreciated
So you got confirmation on species then?.I saw all your pics but had and have no idea. But sounds like you got a positive ID?.

It's not really possible to tell with immature or adult female and especially not with mature males. Adviced only to breed labeled probably but many across the pond have deliberately mixed these, so ironically, most hobby stock is probably a mix of the two anyway. They may not actually be different locality forms however but separate species altogether. DNA analysis awaits for that answer...

Sorry,i mixed up your photo with @Tarantuland,s request for pokie ID.You both have nearly identical T,s.
Thats really wierd.
Yea I was like I wonder you think that’s me lol. I rehoused mine and it’s not even building sperm webs so my goal to ID is just for curiosity, no intentions of breeding him. I think subfusca but whatever. I have learned a good bit about identifying pokies so it’s not for nothing.

Highland are typically slightly smaller, longer reddish setae, more pronounced horizontal stripes on abdomen, darker carapace, and more defined pattern on the tarsus.

I can’t tell you from this MM pic but if you can post one of him before ultimate molt maybe we can help.

I agree with everything @CEC said as well

Thanks...i didnt want to look like some complete moron....incomplete,but working on becoming a complete moron.
