There are more awesome setups, but for some reasons they are kept secretly
With almost nothing anybody can create awesome setups. My perfect arid setup for example cost nothing, anybody can grab a piece of dry grass, and some driftwoods.
Usually people keep the Ts simple to have less chances of having problems, or to have less maintenance, but for tropical sub-tropical species they work fantastically well, if you use CUCs of course, as they keep mold, fungus problems away, and even if it sounds counterintuitive, they have less maintenance, as the CUCs eat all the leftover the Ts leave. The only maintenance I do, is to remove or trim the plant, and that's once or twice a year, aside from watering of course, but that's the same as keeping them moist...
