Lovely female A. chalcodes, Annie, wild-caught in my Tucson neighborhood April 2019.
people from Europe must be going "What, they have them in their yards?"
I'm in Europe, but lived in the states for years, and even I do a double-take every time I see someone mentioning just seeing one wandering around outside their house! :rofl:

But also what a gorgeous lady!
 
Arkansas is probably as close as it comes. Yeah, I'm sure most people haven't had their mountain bike rides interrupted by T sightings.
It is interesting that native populations of Ts aren't found east of the Mississippi in North America. Wonder what factors led up to that.

well the Mississippi provides a pretty good barrier and winters in the Northern part are also barriers
