I'll definitely agree in the very least that they're easily among the most visually pleasing tarantulas. A unique and stocky physique, the black and white/tan contrast, the beautiful starburst carapace in combination with that pretty dappled abdomen - quite the stunner.
Just got my female at the last expo, and I'm getting an eyeful of her as much as I can before she decides to go ghost on me.
@Dman Actually, I see her every night. She chills on the side of her hide (picture), from about dusk until a bit before dawn. She’s not even really photosensitive. The only thing that gets her scurrying is abrupt movement immediately around her enclosure. I’m glad mine is seemingly anomalous.
