Male doing his "mating dance", she still wants nothing to do with him!
Mostly honey or sugar water but they'll hunt waxworms and crickets. They only really need live food when they're raising larvae
 
Mostly mistakes I made with wild wasps and it hurts! Mine that I've had for a while wont try to sting and even let me touch their nests without attacking
 
Cool. I once got stung on the cheek by a yellow jacket. It hurts. It only happened by my own ignorance for I nearly stepped on it's nest.
 
The only ones I've had that would try to sting away from their nests were bald faced hornets. If you do get wasps those might not be the easiest to keep at first
 
I just have one nest right now but a few wasps will use the same nest if they start it together, one will take over and lay all the eggs
