Sold As Goliath Birdeater
was Told it was a Goliath Birdeater. I recently got it and I am also worried about how small it’s abdomen is.
It looks like it is indeed a Birdeater. The abdomen is really small though you're right. Hopefully you can fatten it up!

Looks like a T. stirmi to me (lack of setae on the patellas). Common name for T. stirmi is Burgundy Goliath Birdeater. The abdomen does look a little small but with a few feedings it should be a ok.

I’ve had it for about 2-3 weeks now have been feeding it 4-6 crickets every time I feed it and the abdomen seems like it is not getting any bigger. Thinking about getting it a pinky for next feeding

@Kujawski0212 Definitely Theraphosa stirmi. If you're gonna try something other than crickets, I'd recommend looking into different feeders than a rat/mouse pinky personally, as vertebrates are entirely unnecessary for any tarantula diet-wise and death via impalement is a pretty rough way to go. They also make a horrid mess to clean up and the bolus will absolutely reek by the time the T is done with it. If you have access to them, large hornworms are fantastic for fattening a T up. Much larger than any pinky I've ever seen.

If you don't have any available, you can just keep giving the T several crickets at a time and feed a bit more frequently until it gains some weight. It's not in dire straits where it's at now, not anything to panic about if it's behaving normally. Just make sure it has access to a nicely sized waterdish and keep with the regular feeding, it'll start putting on some girth.

@Kujawski0212 Well, problem may be the size of the mealworms, how about
superworms?.IMO,you can feed smaller prey, and increase the frequency of feedings.
As was stated, just keep the food coming and the T will gain size.2/3 weeks is
not enough time to put on weight.Give it 8 weeks, and see how it is doing.
Otherwise,its a nice looking stirmi.
