Leaning female on this, but I just wanted to get some other eyes on it.
As I was unfolding this teensy molt under a strong desk lamp, I saw light coming through the molt from behind through a lateral slit (not the tear that's pictured, but an existing slit) right where you'd expect it to be for F.
