My willingness to claim this is a male is based completely non-scientifically. You are right in stating that there is no evidence pointing towards male. Based on my experience with this species the males tend to look like they have thinner, lighter-colored legs. However there is no paratype that points toward this being scientifically accurate. Just my hunch as a hobbyist.
