By looking at the blue contrast on its legs I can easily see the vast blue running up its leg completely. Females have a bit of the shorter blues on its legs. I wouldn't take what I said to heart as it's something that is quite variable and it really is a observational pick-up skill. Harder for people with limited experience to tell, but it's much easier for me if it's in person for me to see.

I have a juvenile male and sub-adult female, both confirmed, and I can differentiate where the coloring is different. I never noticed this up till now.
