Read the description on variegata in the revision... For many years there was a theory by some knowledgeable hobbyists that sp. Amazonica was actually the true bicegoi because bicegoi was described out of Manaus, Brazil. The revision confirms this theory with the locality, description and pictures of variegata morphotype #1. The revision considers bicegoi a junior synonym of variegata.
The hobby bicegoi comes most likely from Peru and doesn't fit the description or pictures of the two variegata morphotypes, therefore, more likely a morphotype of juruensis.
