Live plants would need more moisture than the tarantula. You cannot have live plants with many species because of the conflict in moisture requirements between them and the spider.
Safer to stick to fake ones.
You could use succulent plants, these store water in their leaves, need very little water & are easy to grow. Avoid anything spiky like cacti though as this can injure your T. Well worth looking into.
