My girl 'gonzales' (an undescribed Mexican aphonopelma SAF), molted about a month ago. Last night she emerged to eat for the 1st time, to my surprise she has undergone a complete colour change from pale brown to jet black, real cool (see linked pic below to see what she looked like before).
Aye whilst I didn't know she'd turned fully black, I could tell by the glimpses of her that I saw in her burrow that she was darker and thought I maybe had a MM on my hands. Managed to pull the molt tho and it's 100% a she, will be interesting to see if she stays the same or turns lighter again over time

Yeah, keep us updated. I think I know where you got her from and I have 2 from the same supplier if that's the case but none have moulted and look 'chalcodes like'
