Unfortunately the only thing anyone can tell you from this photo is that it's not a sexually mature male. Males only develope hooks and emboli after their last maturity molt! The two ways to determine sex are by inspecting the inside of a molt for spermatheca (the female sex organs) or by looking at the ventral (bottom) side of the outside of the tarantula for an epigastric furrow, which is present in both sexes but more prominent in females. The first method is much more reliable than the second, but you have to wait for a good molt. If you want to try ventral sexing, an easy way to get a good picture is to coax the spider into a clear container and photograph the underside through the container. Hope this helped!
