Purchased (rescued?) this guy from a PetSmart three weeks ago. He's since molted and matured (hello emboli!). He was listed as avicularia avicularia, which I think is correct, but I was hoping for help morphotype in case I decide to do a breeding loan. I'm thinking M1.
Thanks. I agree that it's an avic avic, but was hoping for assistance on identifying the morphotype (M1 vs M6). I would assume it's important to breed within the same morphotype.
it certainly is.....differentiating an M1 from an M6 MM isnt quite as obvious as the differences are subtle....M1 has red on the rump, M6 has a black rump.....this, IMO, isnt obvious to me in the pic. I tagged CEC, and I am sure he will come along eventually....he is very well read on Avics.

I am saying M1. I have a number if different avics and looks like M1 to me. The typical MM colours and hairs for M1. M6 also have more of a fuzzy look to them alongside the other differences described. Happy to be further educated if wrong but I am still saying M1 from what I can see.

I will try to add a better picture here. It was more noticeable prior to the recent molt, but the rump is more red than black.
