So, it's hard to tell just by looking even holding it in your hand, you really need to wait for it to molt then carefully soak the molt in water and a tiny drop of soap. You're going to spread out the molt very carefully, like you see people who pin the molts for display? Kinda like that, you will be looking for a pocket.. actually, it's best shown by photos. Anyway, you can take super clear photos of the molt, post here, someone will identify as well as show you the spot to look for. You can also Google or YouTube search "sexing tarantulas" it's not terribly difficult as long as your tarantula is nice and leaves you a nice molt... Not shoves their molt into their water dish then webs the whole thing up *I'm looking at you Socks* lol.
Sometimes you can make a guess, not confirmed but just a guess, by looking at their pedipalps. The ones with little boxing gloves on their pedipalps can be males, but even if they don't have boxing gloves they could still be male... Which is why sexing via molt is the 100% way to do it. Also some T's females and males are different color, males are usually smaller than females etc.
I still support the molt only for 100% tho
They did molt about a month ago, but as you stated, sometimes they rip through their exoskeleton, which is what mine did. I pulled it out of the enclosure and it was a mess. I guess I’ll have to wait until the next molt. Just want to know it they are male or female, as this is my favorite tarantula species
