1.0 Idiommata sp. Silverback (Jack Pad)

This beautiful, almost livingmetal being has joined my collection today, thanks to the incredible kindness of @Oompoofishy . Hoping to see some slings from my female soon
Yes!!! How exciting
Indeed! Already though ive hit a bit of a problem and its that he's a non-eater... i was planning on waiting for the collector to find a female first but idk how long he'll last with his current abdomen size. Quite odd IMO as most primitive males other than mouse spiders all take food

Hmmm, might be coming to the end... 😕 Are you unable to breed with your female?

Well theres 2 true silverbacks, QLD and SA Jackpad. Thx to Isaac Birmingham's seeming refusal to answer any of my emails about them, i have no clue where my girl came from, which makes it a 50:50 chance. Im 100% confident she will accept regardless, but considering this is probably the first time this species has ever been captive bred i dont wanna make hybrids straight off the bat

Bugger, that’s unfortunate mate. If you want, I might be able to message Isaac on Facebook regarding to locality of the females Idiommata’s he used to sell.

I actually fed him before I sent him! Sorry, forgot to tell you that.
