Hello. This spider was sold to me as an H. mac. I haven’t seen it much but I rehoused it a couple days ago and got my first good look at it in awhile. It looks more like a S. calceatum to me. Can anyone confirm and also tell me if they are sexually dimorphic. It’s about 4” dls. Thanks.
Well, it's a mature male for sure. As for ID between the H. mac and S. cal as mature males, I can't say I'm too experienced on that part.
 
It looks more like an H. maculata mature male than S. calceatum to me. Since it was sold as H. maculata I would say there's no reason to doubt the seller in this case.
