Zombie Tarantulas, shrooms bad for Ts?

I watched a show that said the Rain forest has a type of Fungus that kills every insect /spider species.
Either fungus is very hungry , or its population control.
Poor spidey :(

No you guys are mistaken, thats just Rangifer tarantulasis. Its a new species of Taranula that mimics the caribou of north america as a defensive mechanism.

Known for their once in a million red nosed color form.

Does anyone have an idea of what species this spider might be? The article says "tarantula", but I'm not convinced. I think it looks more like some other mygalomorph spider.

or maybe it's just beyond all recognition at this point?

Freaky what nature can do, huh? I'm not sure about the spider, but my university studies the ant one. I know nothing about it, but they have an exhibit every now and then showing the different stages. Pretty cool stuff. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the tarantula pic were real.
