I have a Female B.Smithi which is around 3 years old now. I wonder when this specie becomes mature. I know feeding,heat and the tarantula itself may change the time but i am asking in average.And how long do they become when they are mature ? On average again. I heard that thay will keep growing by every molt until they die .Is it true or after some size the grow is so small that it's not noticable between 2 molts ?

It doesn't matter the age of the spider, it depends on the size. I'm not certain the size exactly, but I think around 4 1/2" they're able to breed. And yes, once female tarantulas reach a certain size, the growth considerably goes down.

When a mature female molts, she doesn't really change that much in size once she reaches the ultimate size. If that were true, imagine how large a 40 year old Aphonopelma chalcodes would be!
