What to do if food item is too large?

My sling has still not moulted but I ordered small crickets instead of micro crickets and most of them are either the same size or too large. Should I pre kill them anyway and just let her eat them as they are or chop them in half or something?

You can remove the legs and use those, you could prekill the whole cricket and feed less often, or you could cut it in half (the messiest option.) whatever works for you. Only thing I’d suggest is not leaving any of them in there alive and adjusting the feeding schedule if you’re giving larger meals

Okay I will feed her less often with prekilled crickets, I haven't fed her live food yet.

I have this same problem. I just crush their heads then cut them in half laterally. Almost all my slings will scavange it.

Experiment with killing the cricket, cutting it in half and placing it somewhere near the sling. T's are scavengers, especially slings, and if it's near the burrow, hide or a place you frequently see it, it will eventually figure out that it's food. This has always been my go to.

Slings or not.

If feeder insect seems too large, then just kill it, and toss it.

In the end, it is just a big size meal.
