Any of centipede lovers out there know the identity of this one? It crashed my picnic at Palo Duro State Park, about 30 minutes south of Amarillo, TX. Approximately 7". I'm really surprised I hung around to watch him/her for so long as I am truly not fond of centipedes. Anyway, just wanted to know the Latin.

Thanks in advance

Nice, I thought it might have been Heros on first sight having heard those big guys were in the area but my cursory research yielded images that didn't look similar. I think I'll be sticking with arachnids for now, pedes do interest me and I respect them but in way that I'm also freaked the hell out by them. No doubt a treat of a site tho.
