Warnings about GE II about inconvenience or toxicity?

I have just made a nice backdrop from Robc's 3D backdrop tutorial for my female A. versicolor. However, the caulk, while stating to be 100% silicone, is GE II and I have heard unclear warnings about it. They include "having a lasting odor" and "being mildew proofed." The kind is Kitchen and Bath. Should the backdrop be fine as long as I wait through the long setting time I've been warned about, or should I trash my work? Has anybody had bad or good experiences with GE II? Thanks.

I use the GE II caulk on all mine and I dont have any problems

As long as you wait a 5 or so days for it to cure, dry, and air out you should be fine.

It is more for the people who want to put their T in within 48 hours.

Yeah, I've used it with no problems other than the odor. Ones the silicone has cured you're good to go. It's 100% silicone, which is nontoxic once cured.
I believe the label asks for 24 hours, I just give it 48 and have never had a problem.
