just got my first Vinegaroon last wk.what size food item do I give, how often, how many, and how do I know if I’mover feeding? Size from right behind pinchers to right before tail is just over 1 1/4”. Knife to show cage size.

I feed my vinegaroon roughly once a week to week-and-a-half or so - same schedule as my scorpions, spiders, centipedes, and amblypygids. I give it a couple of medium crickets or one large one. I think mine is a bit bigger than yours, but not much, so that should be fine for yours, too. Watch when you feed it - if it is consistently acting afraid of the prey, you might consider trying smaller feeders. If it's snatching them up and tearing into them right away, you're fine.

I'd also consider dampening part of the substrate. My Mastigoproctus giganteus always picked the damp substrate over the dry parts. I now keep her just with damp.
