Best drill bit to use is one made for drilling acrylic- they cut differently.
Where is the best place you have found to purchase acrylic bits? I have been looking online, but have not made a purchase yet. It seems harder to find the smaller sizes.

TAP Plastics - if I recall. Don't recall the size. It's not required, but after doing research it's better. Most people drill with a standard general bit (I did too). Yet most drill at too high RPMs, which means you are really melting, not cutting. You know when the acrylic was drilled properly when the acrylic comes off the bit in a single piece. But it doesn't matter per se, those are words from the experts on plastic.
