Was watching a tv show that had a tarantula in it and caught myself identifying the spider they were using by it's proper name too ::

I was like "Heeeey! THAT'S a brachy smithy"

As a newby I didn't think this name that spider on tv habit would come this fast.. lol

I do it all the time. I get on everyone's nerves because I see a scorp on tv and i'll say outloud "Tityus serrulatus" and annoy everyone else watching the show ;p I find it pretty good practice

Actually, the right pronunciation of "smithi" would be smith-e (like the "e" on e-bay, or if you want, like the "ee" of cheese) and not smith-eye (like the eyes we have on our face, or like "I" like pizza).:biggrin:
