Me *slowly removes lid as spider is walking around in deli cup*

Sling :D (Blissfully oblivious)

Me: oooookay.... slowly now.... *gently touches sling with paintbrush*

Sling  *Explodes in circles and races below deli cup's substrate/web*

Me: sigh... okay... try again in a bit...

Real talk for a second.
Thinking of just putting the whole deli cup into the new enclosure...
Might be easier that way if I just wait long enough...

No shame in doing that.
I’ve had to

If u watch Tom Moran’s rehouse vids u can make what he uses so u can get the spider in the cup without any possibility of the spider escaping.

I use a deli cup of equal size turned upside down on top of the sling's enclosure, then squeeze a pipe cleaner in and use that to motivate the sling into the empty top deli. Once the sling is up, I slide a lid between the two delis effectively capturing the sling in the top deli. I also try to avoid actually touching the spider unless they ignore me prodding near/around them... if the first thing you do out of nowhere is touch the sling, they are way more likely to bolt.
