I got a P. regalis communal and I thought about it and came to the conclusion that I'm probably not ready nor do I think I want a communal of this magnitude. Plus the mess of the enclosure was driving me nuts and there would really be no viable way to clean it. Not to mention how I would feel if I ended up with less T's. Either way I felt the best option was to rehouse the buggers. I only really had these muggy deli cups but they'll do fine. Really just harder to get pictures of them or anything. It went well enough. Had some runners but none that made it too far. Overall a huge suscess and I think I'll be able to more so monitor each of them individually. 20180914_133943.jpg
One already pooped.

The P. reduncus was always in stress curl when I saw it so I gave it a nice typical avic set up I figured since it spent a lot of time near the lid it would do best in this set up. 20180914_141237.jpg -My other new additions being an A. hentzi, A. bicoloratum, A. marianae, P. victorii, and a C. schmidti (gold).
All are pretty exciting for me, technically this is my first Avic if you don't count the Ex avic C. versicolor.
Disappointed has started his poopy journey of messing up my nice glass walls.
20180913_221259.jpg A. gen. looking quite leggy, he's always so pretty straight after a molt. 20180913_202737.jpg
M. balfouri got all pissy at me when I went to feed it but now its dragging around it's food everywhere it goes. 20180911_183005.jpg
Other than that, I'm probably going to refill some water dishes today and drop in some water for others. Since I live in a high humidity area the water doesn't evaporate quickly at all so I'm usually very careful with how much moisture I add.

This beautiful girl is out lately. 20181004_075723.jpg
This boy's color is amazing. It's going to suck when he goes gray but at least I can enjoy him now. 20181004_080748.jpg 20181008_182441.jpg

My A. gen got a new little hide and became a jerk. This is his pattened double flick stance. He uses both his back legs to flick hairs at me just for trying to see if hes hungry. 20180925_115222.jpg

sorry for your loss :( i've had some similar experiences with a couple of Poeci specimens over the years. lost a couple of regalis that just stopped eating one day and died the next. i think sometimes they're weaker individuals that would've been weeded out in the wild. losing a subfusca with the new restrictions in place really stinks, hopefully you can get another soon! they're beautiful.

Bunch has happened since I was last on.
Got my first MM P. sp. rufus. I traded him for a female Y. diversipe (and a couple of his slings if she drops). He did well, so we're just waiting to see if the female drops. He did get eaten by the female but seeing how she ate the first male, I wasn't suprised. 20181128_132430.jpg Heres the Y. diversipe 20181231_144350.jpg
Got a bunch of new T's including this beautiful A. chalcodes who is honestly one of the biggest fatties in my collection.

P. machala freshly molted 20190118_175523.jpg
A. ezendami female at the expo yesterday. 20190120_200838.jpg
And just a bunch more really.
I guess that's it for big updates.

It's been entirely too long since I've made a post on here. I needed to downsize so right now I'm sitting at 12 tarantulas.
I still have my P. metallica, he hasn't grown much or matured yet. 20190808_231206.jpg
My C. versicolor I confirmed as female. 20191225_074020.jpg
I still also have: my P. irminia which is a mature female, My C. darlingi female, my male B. hamorii, my male P. regalis, and my male A. geniculata. My A. chalcodes still hasn't molted so I have no idea the sex. And I still have one H. columbia.
I have 3 new additions. A confirmed female D. pentaloris. 20191031_175827.jpg
A confirmed female P. cambridgei 20191105_174917.jpg
And a B. emilia sling.
