They don't appear to be causing the roaches any problems, but they can't be good.

Anyone know if they will actually be a problem with the roaches or oothecae?

Nothing I can do about it until late this evening, but I did relocate the bin so that they don't continue to invade.

Chances are yes, they will predate upon freshly molted roaches and hatching ooth.

I have plenty of sugar ants (Monomorium pharaonis) that invade my Dubia bin. Other than dead roaches and shedded parts, they never disturb anything, nor do they visit the bin in huge numbers. I think of them as an extra clean up crew. I have not witnessed the ants preying upon molted roaches, but I think stationary ooths would be pretty vunerable.

I wont do anything drastic then - - it seemed like they were after the apple pieces (no shocker) and weren't in the half where the roaches actually live. So, I'll give the bin a good cleaning tonight and see if I can discourage them from coming back.

Thanks for your advice.
