Termite Nuptial Flight

Ok, first off, excuse my dirty fingers, I had been digging and stuff today lol. I was walking around when I saw this on the sidewalk, there was millions of them. I thought "Oh, those are ants getting ready for their nuptial flight!"

Those are the little ones. Any large ones? Wings about an inch long. I hate the little ones. They can squeeze between the screen and the frame of the window. Have to sit in the dark all evening.

A very real problem is the bug goo when they do the flights and swarm certain street lights on winding curved roads. I saw the evidence of 5 motorcycles going down during the night on a curve near here.

Those were the only ones I saw. I didn't see any larger ones than that. This was the first I have seen this lol. I think the wings look really pretty though haha.

What is fun is, we hang a light on a long bamboo pole over the river during swarming time. Fish ultimate pig out!
BTW, the boss mentioned those little ones are a delicacy. Remove the wings and stir fry with light oil and seasoning.
