So i picked up a nymph of the Budwing at the rocky mountain reptile expo, and I took a few twigs, aked them, and glued them together, but how long does it take for the super glue to become safe? Twenty four hours? Just until it dries? When the smell fades completely?

Also, is the plural Mantids? Mantises?

What kind of super glue did you use ? Dunno why I ask lol as I don't really have an answer for the question, I usually use a gluegun if I even glue anything...

And I usually say mantids as It feels odd saying mantises lol

Just some Kroger(King Soopers/City Market.), cheap stuff.

Oops, I lied. It's elmer's super glue. It was cheapest, and it's the only Super Glue that doesn't burn my eyes and nose.

I'd suggest you web surf cyanoacrylate and reach your own conclusions. While the material is commonly used by veterinarians, it doesn't appear that there has been any serious testing done on insects.

Super glue should be safe for use soon after application, but it is not very good for bonding porous materials.

"Mantids" sounds better, but I understand that "mantises" is more scientifically correct.
