What are the signs I should out for in terms before molting? I read some don't stop eating, but are there any other signs. I've had my A. Calcoldes for about a month & he eats every week but no signs of molting. Do they all make elaborate webs?

I know to leave him alone for a week or so once he molts, but would I be able to remove the molt or should I leave it in there & not disturb any part of the terrarium?

I know this is early but I just want to get past my first molt, lol.....

Signs of pre-molt (a single sign might not mean pre-molt, but if you are seeing multiple signs, it is likely pre-molt):
  • refuses food
  • seems more lethargic, skittish, or reclusive than normal
  • coloring looks drabber than normal
  • spontaneously shedding hair around its enclosure
  • seals itself into its burrow (do not disturb sign)
  • entire abdomen turns dark (not visible on larger tarantulas without a bald spot): will molt within a few days to a week
  • makes a molting mat: will likely molt within a day
  • flips onto its back or side: it begins!

My OBT has burrowed into his hide and even blocks it with dirt but still comes out to eat prekilled crickets , he’s been doing this for a week now is this pre molting? Should I stop feeding him?

I wouldn't stop feeding him if he's still eating (assuming he's not an obese juvenile or adult).
