Right now it is being kept in a what I believe is a 24 oz deli container. I know they are arboreal so I put some fake plants in the top and it has already made a web but hasn’t eaten. I’m feeding pinhead crickets right now. There is some dirt at the bottom but very very little. I have a bottle cap with a rock in it for the water bowl. The bigger enclosure has a couple of pesticide free plants in it and natural, organic, fertilizer free potting soil that I try to keep pretty dry. I’ve included corkbark and a a coconut hide. There’s a water dish in the bottom that I put barely any water so crickets and tarantula won’t drown in it. Originally the breeder said the don’t put water bowls they just mist the enclosure. Research online said pretty much the opposite. I’ve read and watched a lot of care advice online but I always doubt myself and feel like I’m doing everything wrong lol. Advice on the setups needed and anything extra you can tell me about the species.

I prefer to mist or spray the webbing for slings, small juveniles of all speicies. Especially those that webbs alot. Silk holds waterdrops extreamly well. This is hiw they drinks in nature! For juveniles and adult arboreal speicies i have waterbowls but sprays the webbing anyways for drinking purpouses! I have yet to see any arboreal using its waterbowl! Until now, i havnt seen it what i can remember.

That’s actually what I had been doing lately! The webs hold it really well but I’m careful not to get water on my t

@Saalper Tarantulas wont drown. Take the rock out. Also i think pin heads are too small for that big of sling.

That exo terra enclosure looks too big for that sling also.

That's a cute enclosure, my wife would love that little house. That little guy might get lost in there but, makes it harder to feed and monitor your T in a large enclosure.

Well duh guys that’s why I haven’t put my T in there lol I know it’s too big. It’s just a future set up. Right now he’s in that deli container. I do have a bigger T of the same kind in that bigger enclosure. The breeder said I could house them together but the one in the picture is about half the size of my bigger one so I keep them separate.

Don’t listen to the breeder, you’ll end up with one fat tarantula and a rather larger bolus. There is only one species that truly does okay in a communal setup, and that would be M. balfouri
