I have a project in my digital art class where we will be scanning objects and then playing around with them in photoshop. If I were to scan one of my death feigning beetles or millipedes would it hurt them? I would be scanning them with the same kind of thing you use to scan documents, except this one is higher resolution and you don't need to close a lid. There's a light that's kind of bright that I'm worried might hurt them.

As long as you aren't using an electron microscope. A scanner light source is pretty bright but momentary light shouldn't cause harm.
