What type of substrates are good for them? How often do you need to mist? Do they prefer places to hide/dig under, or do they like to climb? What foods do they eat, and how often. What are those tiny mites which crawl in beetween their segments? How long do they live?

Can they be kept in wood chips, misted everyday?

no, they like to burrow, and wood chips would not be a good substrate to build

use BEAD-A-BEAST you can purchase in a compressed block that you have to boil to loosen and drench the substrate so its nice and moist.
