Poecilotheria ornata, female, so called blue form:

I'm curious, how exactly does this occur? Does it have something to do with the coloration of the parents? Or is it just a random color morph from any normal eggsac? For example, I assume that out of, I dunno...100 spiderlings from an ornata eggsac, maybe 1 or 2 will develop this color morph and the rest will be the "regular" coloration. Is this correct?

Absolutely beautiful by the way:drool: . At what instar does the coloration become noticeable?

I doubt it will, males at that size if they are not mature already have a solid almost drab color going on. There can be various shades and such, but no where near the female markings you have going on there!
