This molt brought forth the amazing abdominal spikes, theyre really getting developed well, wouldnt you say? ;)

Makes me sad. Mine died about a molt after the one in your picture. :'( Here's a picture of her hiding in FunnyLori's orchid boquet.

Wow gorgeous mantids!!!!! Ive always wanted one, except that I heard they dont live very long.

That orchid mantis is beautiful! :drool:

And yes Novak, unfortunately mantids don't live very long. The record is somewhere around 300 days (or so I've heard), and my giant Indian H. grandis died recently after about 270 days.
