p. ornata eating habbits

Ok so my p. Ornata eats kinda weird. My others grab and hold on till they r done. My ornats bites it and runs and goes back after its dead to eat it.. is this normal..

How big is your T and what size food are you offering?

If the cricket is bigger then the spiderling then it is normal that it will first deliver a lethal dose of venom, then run and wait until prey is dead and finally come back and start to enjoy its meal. There is nothing abnormal about your T. Personally I think that your P. ornata is really clever.

About 1 1/4 inches. I feed mine med crickets i just pull off its rear legs. Yeah it is pretty clever i like to watch them eat and when it did that i keot watching and sure enough it went back.
